SLA (stereolithography) printing
The stereolithography (SLA) 3D printing process is based on a photopolymer resin, which is cured by UV light. It is characterised by a high level of detail, accuracy and surface quality. Planning and removal of supports requires careful attention to minimise subsequent warpage and maintain surface quality. After printing, once the support material has been removed, the parts require post-print cleaning and UV curing. The surface quality of parts produced using SLA technology is the same as that of injection moulded parts.
